Welcome

The Democrat party for more than a decade has been prohibiting any elected prolife individual from leadership. Now they simply prohibit them from office entirely.

David Roberti, ProLife hero and for many years, the most powerful member of the California Senate (1976-1980: Majority Leader, California State Senate 1980-1994: President pro Tempore, California State Senate) was one of the last stalwarts of true pro-life commitments in the California Democrat Party. “Senator Roberti was an incredible legislator and dynamic advocate for Life.” Says Brian Johnston, of National Right to Life. “But as early as 1988 he told me he would no longer go to Democrat Party Conventions as he would, even then, despite his leadership and financial efforts for the Party,  simply be attacked and vilified for his Life commitment.”

With the passing of Assemblyman Allister McAllister, whom Willie Brown had acknowledged as the ‘conscience of the Assembly,’ there areo longer any pro-life Democrats in California elected state-office. Yet many Catholics, often for tradition sake remain registered as Democrat.

On the National level it is no different. Pro-lifers are now driven from the party’s elected ranks.

“We’ve just had enough,” says Wendy L Hartman spokeswoman for Democrats for Life. “We are urging all conscientious voters, even if registered Democrats, to actively work against the abortion advocates within the Democrat party.”

The recent Rasmussen poll in California confirms what is similar in other states, only a very small percentage of the voting public actually supports unlimited abortion, just for ‘choice’ (13%) Most Californians want to see some kind of limit and resonable restriction on abortion, contrary to the radical position of the Democrat Party leadership (See poll here)

Wendy L Hartman
Senator Rose Ann Vuich – 1975

CA ProLife Democrats honors outspoken pro-life Democrat, Senator Rose Ann Vuich, who was the first woman elected to the California State Senate.

From Wendy Hartman, spokeswoman: There are many, many Democrats in America that vote pro-life. Many are Democrats because of their faith background, but take exception to the values of the Democrat Party.

The “Rose Ann Vuich branch of Democrats for Life” does not celebrate the other, divisive aspects of the Democrat party. We welcome all who respect the self-evident truth that innocent human lives should be protected under the law.  We focus on that as the predicate of the single-issue pro-life cause.

IMPORTANT: Specifically, we do not redefine the legal right to life to now ‘also mean’ many other things; such as, “we must also deny our nation’s right to enforce an international border because illegal (‘undocumented’ immigrants) are also human beings”; or that Atheism is also a predicate for America’s commitment to self-evident truth.    We find no need to also thematically promote other Democrat issues such as sexual habits or any of the current litany of Democrat oppressed themed tangents claiming equality with innocent life. EVERYONE throughout their life, should have their lives protected by the law. No one shall be deprived of the life without due process of law. The innocent child…the elderly sick and infirm, currently do not have this protection. We speak for them.

In California there are numerous districts where – as if in a primary – Democrat now faces Democrat.    The abortion industry has particular candidates chosen in these races as their favored and supportive candidate. These individuals, if elected,  will immediately make expansion of unlimited abortion a priority. WE urge Democrats and all parties within these districts to actively work against the Democrat pro-death candidate.

These districts and Candidates are the following:
